|06072020| Sperm whales and a sea of common dolphins

A sunny day always brings good things! During our trip, we were able to see 5 sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus), they were very calm and doing shallow dives. Lucky for us, at the end of the sighting, some of them deep dive and we saw the tail!


After the cool sperm whales, we also saw a huge pod of common dolphins (Delphinus delphis). We were surrounded by dolphins! The group was very active and we could see some animals really close to the boat, even tiny babies.

Um dia solarengo só pode trazer coisas boas! Durante a nossa expedição pudemos observar 5 cachalotes (Physeter macrocephalus), estavam bastante calmos e a fazer mergulhos pouco profundos. Por nossa sorte, mesmo no final do avistamento, conseguimos ver as caudas de alguns cachalotes que se prepararam para ir a grandes profundidades.


Depois de vermos os cachalotes avistámos um grande grupo de golfinhos comuns (Delphinus delphis). Estávamos rodeados de golfinhos! O grupo estava bastante ativo e alguns deles aproximaram-se bastante do barco, até crias muito pequenas.
