During our trip, we were able to spot a Sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) in the channel between Faial and Pico islands (not usual at all!). Then we found Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). Later we observed all together Common dolphins (Delphinus delphis), Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) and Striped dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalba) (also not usual!). We also spotted Cory's Shearwater (Calonectris borealis), Common tern (Sterna hirundo) and Portuguese Man O'War (Physalia physalis).
We hope you enjoyed your trip & see you again on another opportunity!
